ITV Sport pundits single out Spurs star for praise during England's game against Kosovo

Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks has been praised for his first-half performance against Kosovo for England.

The 23-year-old has so far endured a tough campaign for his club side, only making 13 appearances in all competitions this season and missing out on their last three starting line-ups.

But the Spurs midfielder completed the full 90 minutes for the Three Lions in Thursday’s 7-0 win against Montenegro.

And he backed-up his impressive display at Wembley by opening the scoring against Kosovo on Sunday evening - and both Roy Keane and Lee Dixon were left impressed with what they saw from Winks.

"The one bit of quality we saw to be fair, [Harry] Winks, he got a lovely goal,” Keane said.

“Even at the start of the game, give him credit, he has a lovely pace to his passing, good tempo, and the one bit of quality we've seen.

"The goal, they need it to get them going. Winks did what he's really good at, Oxlade-Chamberlain played his part, going into space, always looking for the ball.

Before Dixon added: "Once he doesn't get it, he looks for another bit of space, Harry Kane comes short and it opens up the space for Winks to make the run.

“Once [Alex] Oxlade-Chamberlain has time and space he does make the run and the defender turns the wrong way.

“The finish is cool and composed, it would be easy to hit the goalkeeper there."
