ITV are reportedly poised to ask presenter Laura Whitmore to host the next series of Love Island after Caroline Flack announced she was stepping down.
Irish presenter Laura is the bookies favourite to replace Caroline, who was arrested and charged with assault last week.
Laura is a friend of Caroline's and of the show - as her boyfriend Iain Stirling narrates Love Island.
Because of this, the arrangement would be seen more as a short cover for Caroline and "keeping her seat warm" while she deals with her personal issues.
MailOnline reports ITV will ask Laura to present Love Island and also co host Aftersun with her boyfriend Iain, as they are keen to "keep it in the family".

Laura has hosted Extra Camp, Survival Of The Fittest, and a stint on This Morning - all on ITV.
She's been staying quiet on social media and hasn't addressed the speculation - though she was hanging out with veteran presenter Emma Willis yesterday and posted a photo of the two of them together.
Insiders say Laura was very open to discussing the opportunity and was approached as soon as Caroline quit.
The source told The Sun: "It’s an amazing job, every TV presenter in Britain wants it, so of course Laura was open to speaking to bosses about it.

“She’s already had a chat about it – as soon as Caroline quit, they needed to sign someone up ASAP."
MirrorOnline has reached out to a rep for ITV for comment.
Laura previously replaced Caroline on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here NOW! when she moved over to the X Factor .
Maya Jama, Ant and Dec, and Iain Stirling are reportedly the other favourites to replace Caroline.

Other potential replacements include former contestants Maura Higgins and Amber Gill, Rick Edwards and Emily Atack.
Maura's boyfriend Curtis Pritchard has ruled her out from the line up of potential replacements, as she is appearing on Dancing On Ice next month.
Maya Jama could take on the role having received rave reviews when she appeared on the Spin Off show Aftersun last year, and she is the current odds-on favourite.
