ITV's Tipping Point under fire as contestant accuses machine of working against him

ITV Tipping Point was under fire as a contestant on today's show accused the machine of working against him.

Ben Shephard welcomed four new contestants to take on the arcade style machine in the latest episode of the ITV show.

One of today's players was John from Leeds, who put his general knowledge to the test to see if he could win the £10,000 cash prize.

The pharmaceutical distributor pitted his wits against Tom, Nikki and Katherine - and successfully navigated his way to the final.

Earlier in the show, he set his sights on knocking over the large collection of coins that had built up at drop zone 2, but after multiple attempts at shifting the coins, he questioned if there was something up with the machine.

He said: "Does it always stick at number 2?"

Ben Shephard hit back: "It's not the drop zone, John. I think it's your timing to be honest."

Tipping Point viewers took to Twitter in hysterics at the exchange.

One fan wrote: "John questions the machine working"

Another commented: "John knew magnet man was against him."

A third said: "Ben's not entertaining John's drivel."

John decided not to gamble for the £10,000 jackpot and left the show with an impressive £2,450.

Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV and ITVHub
