ITV viewers have been left unable to sleep without the light on following the release of its new psychological thriller The Sister.
The four-part mystery series from Luther creator Neil Cross' book The Burial, follows Nathan (played by Russell Tovey), as he's haunted by his past.
Nathan spent years trying to atone for his involvement in the death of his wife's sister, Elise (Simone Ashley), but after Bob, played by Bertie Carvel, arrived at his home to tell him that builders are digging up a forest connected to Elise's disappearance, his life is turned upside down, reports Daily Star.

One wrote: "Blinkin hek. I'm scared #TheSister."
A second said: "Just watching @russelltovey in #TheSister It’s really good but I’m scared already."
A third said: "A little bit freaked out watching this on my own #TheSister."
"That just freaked me. Already gripped #TheSister," wrote one viewer.

And: "Might have to sleep with the light on now" said a fourth.
But that's not the only complaint fans had about the show as some were left increasingly frustrated by Nathan's incessant mumbling.
While some people had to put on the subtitles to make any sense of what was being said, others gave up on the series altogether.
One person said: "Not sure I can stick with #TheSister on #ITV can’t hear what @russelltovey is mumbling for starters and all this jumping back and forwards in time just too confusing."
While another questioned: "Why is he mumbling all the time? I’ve had to put the subtitles on #TheSister."
