ITV's The Chase Vixen Jenny Ryan hits back after viewer calls her a 'condescending cow'

Jenny Ryan addressed a Chase viewer who branded her a 'condescending cow' on Twitter.

Tuesday's episode saw The Vixen take on Kimberley, James, Niall and Nicola.

The teachers were hoping to win a large amount of money - but Jenny was doing everything possible to make sure that didn't happen.

But one angry viewer sent Jenny an extremely nasty message in a now-deleted tweet.

According to ChronicleLive, the post, which Jenny and many of her followers were quick to react to before it was taken down read: "Is it just me, or does anyone else find the Vixen on the chase a condescending cow.

"Stuck up her own a**e springs to mind #sackheroff #vilewoman #vixen."

The Twitter user went a step further by including ITV in the tweet urging the channel to sack her.

Swiftly replying, Jenny wrote: "Thanks for the tag Sally! Always good to have a heads-up when someone's asked the company I work for to fire me.

Jenny 'the Vixen' Ryan responded to the hater (The Chase/ITV)

"P.S, If you think I'm condescending on the show, then you don't know the half of it."

Jenny was well backed up by Chase fans and her many Twitter followers.

She added: "I'm literally doing my job, in exactly the same way as my Chaser colleagues do and always have done.

"This seems to be a perception issue, a separate issue with me."

One fan replied: "This is nonsense. If anything I think you’re too nice sometimes! Lol. You’re amazing so ignore these trolls who clearly wouldn’t have a clue if they ever made it onto a quiz show."

Another told her: "Apart from the fact that you're probably the least snarky of the Chasers anyway, you guys would make terrible Chasers if you weren't at least a bit intimidating. I really don't think she gets the point of the show."

After noticing the account of the person who abused her had disappeared, Jenny later tweeted: "This has escalated into a proper conversation about online behaviour and abuse, as well as mental health, which is an escalating issue for more of us than ever."
