The Chase fans were in disbelief at the real age of a contestant on tonight's show
Mervin, a construction manager from London, was hoping to win big so he could take his family to the Caribbean.
But he sent viewers into a frenzy when he told Bradley Walsh he is 54-years-old.

He said: "I've had four grandchildren in the past two years."
Brad responded: "What? How old are you?"
Mervin told Brad his age, to which the host said: "You look well, seriously really, really well."
Shocked at the revelation, viewers took to Twitter, with some saying he looked 20 years younger than his actual age.
Mace said: "Mervin does NOT look 54!"
Mr Chambers joked: "34-year-old Mervin is pretending to be 54 just for the compliments..."
Mariann added: "54 and already a grandpa of four? Say what?"
Steve tweeted: "Mervyn is 54, eh?"

During the cash builder, Mervin secured a respectable £4000.
However, when facing Shaun Wallace, Mervin gambled and opted for the high offer of £30k.
Unfortunately, it was too hard for Mervin to defeat The Dark Destroyer and he was soon knocked off the show.
