ITV's Quiz fans were baffled by "the glitter man" in the Charles Ingram Who Wants to be a Millionaire? scandal as they had no idea he even existed.
Tuesday's second episode revealed the mysterious cough that helped Charles cheat his way to winning on the quiz show back in 2001.
Re-created scenes showed the moment that Charles won his £1million cash prize, and it sparked fans' full attention.
Show host Chris Tarrant, played by Michael Sheen in the drama, declared Charles a millionaire as glitter confetti poured from the ceiling.
But instead, fans were more intrigued by "the glitter man", who was on-hand to press the button that sprayed special confetti for the show winner.
Curious viewers demanded to know who the secret crew member was, and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One wrote: "Honestly, I want to get a position in life where I can ask 'Where the hell is the glitter man?'. Tense, brilliant stuff so far from #quiz by @mrJamesGraham "
Another penned: "Probably not the thing to take away from what is such a brilliant show, but the glitter man is an icon and I want a full series on his backstory #Quiz "
A third shared: "Did the glitter man spend most of his time on 'Millionaire' in his cab, eating kebabs, listening to loud music and awaiting the occasional call? #Quiz "
Meanwhile a fourth added: "The Glitter Man was the true star of the show. #Quiz "
He was previously shown in his van eating what looked like a kebab and singing very loudly to Geri Halliwell, which became a huge hit among fans.
The crew were hunting him down, admitting they hadn't filled the confetti bucket - not thinking Charles would get very far.
But just questions away from a million pounds, those behind-the-scenes went hunting for the "glitter man" to make sure he was on stand-by.
Luckily he was found, and there to press the button in time for Charles' win.
*Quiz concludes at 9pm on Wednesday on ITV.
