ITV's Love Island to air 'savage' dumping tonight - multiple contestants thrown out of villa

Tonight's instalment of UK favourite show Love Island will see more contestants ripped apart from pals and potential lovers in a brutal dumping.

Following on from a fun-filled sports day challenge, the participants are brought back to reality with a bump when they're asked to gather around the iconic fire pit as the sun sets on the villa.

The group then quickly learn that the public has been voting for the most compatible couple, with the duo with the fewest votes at risk of packing their bags and being sent home immediately.

The three couples who have received the least votes are then instructed to stand before their peers - as another text reveals more about the upcoming twist. On Friday night's episode, viewers were first asked to decide which couple they thought had the most potential following the latest recoupling.

The Mirror reports that these are:

Gemma and Luca

Indiyah and Dami

Ekin-Su and Davide

Tasha and Andrew

Paige and Adam

Lacey and Deji

Nathalia and Reece

Newcomers Natalia and Reece were forced to form the only friendship couple, after failing to connect with any of this season's original stars - and subsequently appear to be most at risk. However, the likes of Dami, Tasha and Andrew have all wound up at the bottom of the public pile in recent weeks, and are at risk of the chop.

Before the fire pit drama unfolds, the contestants are asked to participate in a fun-filled sports day. The islanders receive a text inviting them to get physical, as the compete in a Love Island sports day.

Split into two teams captained by Paige and Gemma - both sides go head to head over the course of three traditional rounds: the egg and spoon race, three-legged race and a tug of war. Meanwhile, things elsewhere are heating up between Tasha and Andrew who are caught discussing wedding plans.

After the recoupling Tasha asks her partner: “Why are you playing with my ring finger?” Talk then turns to weddings as the dancer asks: “What would you do if I wore a black wedding dress?” to which Andrew replies: “I think you’d look unreal.”

The couple then discuss flower arrangements before talking about timelines with Andrew saying: “Well babe, steady on, you’ve got at least four years.” Tasha responds: “I am pretty sure you would do it sooner than that.”

Andrew smiles as he asks: “You think I’d propose to you sooner than three years?” to which, Tasha agrees and adds: “If we keep going the way we are going, yeah, I reckon so.”

Davide also shows his commitment to on-off partner Ekin- Su as he surprises her with a homemade tiramisu. As night falls, Davide asks Ekin-Su to head to the mini fire pit as she laughs and says: “Oh no, not the fire pit.” Davide replies: “Why not, it’s our place.”

Sitting down, Davide goes on to tell her: “I wanted to bring you here because this is the place where we had our first kiss.” Gesturing to Dami who heads towards them holding the tiramisu, Davide tells her: “I prepared something nice, an Italian tiramisu.”

Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm
