ITV's Love Island slammed by fans after shock development on tonight's show

Love Island has been slammed by fans after another new contestant entered the villa on tonight's show.

Yesterday's episode of the popular ITV2 dating show featured the introduction of new Islanders Aaron Simpson and Priya Gopaldas.

But, just as the new people are settling in, the latest edition started with a shock announcement that another new Islander will enter the villa.

The first segment of tonight's episode showed Aaron and Priya trying to find who they were going to couple up with on the show.

Aaron planned a surprise brunch for Mary while Priya had a burpee competition with Matthew.

But fans of the show took to Twitter to criticise how the show is introducing yet another new Islander before Aaron and Priya have had a chance to establish themselves.

One user said: "It’s only been a day and their already bringing in a new boy I can’t"

A second commented: "How they bringing another new boy in?! They just put one in!"

A third tweeted: "ANOTHER new islander? #LoveIsland nah guys I’m tired pls."

Other viewers commented how it's too difficult for Islanders to make an impression this late on in the season.

A fan said: "I’m sorry but another new islander?? it’s like a week and a half until the final."

Another added: "Feel sorry for people coming in now they don't have a chance and the public now have their favourites and know who they want to win."

The new Islander was revealed at the end of the show to be Brett Staniland, a PhD student from Derbyshire.
