ITV's Lorraine predicts Boris Johnson resignation with psychic pig before show pulled off air

Lorraine Kelly predicted that Boris Johnson would resign today after a special 'psychic pig' appeared on her show and headed straight for a sign that said he would go.

As the Prime Minister's cabinet continued to fall apart, it's been confirmed that he is set to resign today which means 'Marcus the mystic pig' was right.

As she opened Thursday's edition of her ITV show, the Scots TV host said: " Boris Johnson is still Prime Minister, despite 54 of his cabinet having resigned."

Moments later, she turned to Marcus the Mystic Pig to predict whether or not Mr Johnson will walk today.

Footage showed the animal walking straight towards a sign that read: 'Go' and Lorraine took that as gospel.

"Well I think that's pretty definitive, the psychic pig has spoken," Lorraine said, before adding: "You cannot argue with the mystic pig, Boris Johnson, it is time for you to go."

Lorraine's show was then cut short as the breaking news was announced that the Prime Minister will make a statement to the country at lunch time.

Speaking to political correspondent Jonathan Swain, who was stood outside No.10, Lorraine said: "Jonathan it's hard to keep up, you do wonder who is running the country?"

She continued: "We're hearing there might be an imminent resignation, not right away but it might be later on today."

Shortly after, Lorraine welcomed JLS star Aston Merrygold on to the show but it wasn't long before his interview was cut short as she explained they needed to cross over to ITV News to cover the Prime Minister’s imminent resignation.
