Lorraine Kelly has offered a very public display of support to her under pressure ITV colleagues Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, with a statement live on air.
From Monday to Thursday, long-serving presenter Lorraine spoke directly to Phillip and Holly in the This Morning studio, at the end of her own show, in the week that they continued to be the subject of rumours there'd been a fallout between them behind the scenes.
The close friendship between the two presenters, which has seen them holiday together in the past, is said to have cooled in a big way, despite Phillip attempting to quash the speculation last week by referring to Holly as his 'rock' and that he'd also been there for her during some tough times.

Viewers have tuned in to This Morning over the last few days to see Phillip and Holly put on a united front, as odds on both of them leaving the daytime programme continue to drop.
And, while stars, including their former co-star Eamonn Holmes have put the boot in, with the now GB News anchor accusing them of 'faking' their chemistry for cameras and arguing they should have won an acting award at Sunday's BAFTAs, Lorraine has been much more supportive.
Handing over to Phillip and Holly as her show was about to end on Thursday, she told viewers at home: "Phillip and Holly have a great show as always for us," before letting the presenters tease what they had coming up.
Lorraine's praise for Phillip and Holly came after she told The Sun: Do you know what they were back today and it was business as usual and everyone is just getting on with it.
“I would be sad if they left the show but I don’t think that is ever likely to happen and I think they're just getting on with it."
