ITV's Loose Women to welcome back live studio audience in September

The Loose Women panel had some exciting news lined-up for viewers on Wednesday's instalment of the ITV daytime programme. Midway through the chat show, they made the announcement that they would be welcoming back a studio audience come September.

It has been two and a half years since an episode was last filmed with an audience due to the Covid-19 pandemic and it was down to Coleen Nolan, who has been part of the programme for more than 20 years, to break the news to viewers. "It's not about me for once, it's about you, yes you at home!" She said: "Over the past two and a half years it's been a bit lonely and empty in here.

"We've got our lovely crew," She continued: "But sorry crew, as much as we love you, you're not quite enough. Now this studio needs filling up so from early September we are bringing back the studio audience guys."

Christine Lampard, who was the anchor on today's show, added: "We’ve actually really missed having a studio audience. It’s just us here, it’ll be so lovely to see you all coming back. We want to get as many of you as possible to fill up this studio from early September."

Viewers were quick to take to Twitter to share their excitement that the public would once again be able to apply for studio tickets. Simmone said: "This is amazing news nearly 3 years without a studio audience." Lorraine added: "So glad that the audience is coming back @loosewomen. I was there in February 2020 just before lockdown and I’ll be there in September. Hope you’ve got @itsleepeart back #LooseWomen."

Another viewer, Paul Graham questioned whether there would be a new set ahead of the audience's return tweeting: "New set as well when the audience comes back? #LooseWomen @loosewomen." Other viewers shared screenshots of their application, such as Amber May who posted the caption: "Fingers crossed."

If you fancy joining the audience and watching Loose Women stars such as Ruth Langsford, Stacey Solomon, Denise Welch, Brenda Edwards and more debate the latest headlines and interview a range of guests, you can apply for tickets now.
