ITV's Dancing on Ice finale 'postponed' in schedule shake up due to FA Cup

Fans of ITV's Dancing on Ice will have to wait an extra week to see who is crowned the winner of the 2022 series.

Viewers of the skating show were expecting the winner to be announced on March 20 but the FA Cup Quarter Final will now be shown instead during Dancing On Ice's usual 6.30pm slot.

The match, which will see Liverpool play Nottingham Forest, is due to kick off at 6pm - cutting across Dancing on Ice’s start time of 6.30pm.

The Dancing on Ice final will now air a week later than originally planned, on March 27 but is expected to feature a double bill where we will see who will skate away as the winner.

Host Phillip Schofield revealed another shake up at the end of last week's show.

After declaring it had been "one of the best shows" in its history last week, as several couples received top marks for their routines, Phil revealed a major twist.

He said: "There's something that our couples don't know. So listen up because - and we've kept this quiet all day - I can reveal that it's also next week a double elimination. Not one but two couples will be leaving us."

As the studio audience gasped in response, Phillip added: “And everybody went, 'Oh my god!' After the night you gave us tonight as well!”

Dancing On Ice airs Sundays at 6.30pm on ITV and ITV Hub
