ITV's Coronation Street brings fans to tears as Seb's killer is finally exposed

Coronation Street fans were brought to tears during tonight's episode as Seb's killer was finally revealed.

Monday's edition of the popular soap featured a range of surreal flashback scenes as Nina retraced her steps on the night Seb was murdered.

The Mollie Gallagher character's memory was triggered on the eve of the trial when she heard a song that played on the night of the murder.

Fans of the ITV show praised the departure from the usual form of storytelling and said they were hooked by the 'harrowing' scenes.

Viewers have been undecided whether to believe if it was Corey or Kelly who killed Seb - as both suspects give differing accounts of the incident.

But after Nina retraced the night in detail, she remembered it was Corey who delivered the deadly kick to Seb.

And fans of the show took to Twitter to say how the emotional scenes brought them to tears.

One user said: "Crying at #corrie and there’s another half to go! Was soooo good to see Seb back and when he said to Nina he wanted her forever! Awful world we live in"

Another added: "That episode of #corrie. brought tears to my eyes"

A third commented: "I have a lump in my throat what a powerful first episode omg"

A fourth added: "I’m crying at this. So sad"

A fifth said: "Had goosebumps and tears watching tonight's #Corrie."

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Fridays on ITV and ITVHub
