Anne viewers were outraged at the comments of a judge who Ms Williams tried to persuade to conduct a new public inquiry.
The four-part series follows Anne Williams' relentless pursuit to uncover the truth after her 15 year old son Kevin was one of the 97 victims unlawfully killed in the Hillsborough disaster.
The original coroner decided the inquest should only investigate the tragic events on April 15, 1989, up until 3.15pm. But Anne always rejected this cut-off time.

In 1997, eight years after the disaster, the new Home Secretary Jack Straw sought to establish a judge-led scrutiny of evidence related to the Hillsborough disaster.
Lord Justice Stuart-Smith was effectively tasked with determining whether or not there was sufficient evidence for a new public inquiry to be held.
The third episode shows Lord Justice Stuart-Smith arrives at the Liverpool Maritime Museum to hear evidence from the families in October 1997.
Facing them, he said: “Have you got a few of your people or are they like the Liverpool fans, turn up at the last minute?"
The line was not invented for the script, it is on record as being said by the judge at the time.
Viewers were appalled, with many taking to Twitter to share their views.
JodiePortugal said: "'Do you have any of your people here, or are they like the Liverpool fans? They turn up at the last minute.'
"I had to rewind to hear that again, oh saying those words to Anne Williams."
Andy Gibson said: "How dare he even say those words!"
ScouseSocialism said: "[Lord Justice] Stuart-Smith. My mum told me if I didn't have anything nice to say about someone, not to say anything.
"So I won't."
