ITV reveal when Liar series 2 will start in explosive extended trailer

It looks set to be the drama event of the year and ITV have revealed when the second series of Liar will start.

If you cast your minds back to the autumn of 2017, Liar was the programme that had us all on the edges of our seats as we waited to find out if seemingly professional, whiter than white doctor Andrew Earlham, played by Ioan Gruffudd, raped Laura Nielson.

The last episode of series 1 aired over two years ago now, so sorry if we're spoiling anything but, we found out that he did and then the mother of all cliffhangers was played as the finale ended in shocking style with the camera zooming in and out of Earlham's lifeless body on deserted marshland.

The chilling conclusion came after Laura found harrowing footage or herself and other women being raped by him and seemed intent on seeing him brought to justice.

At the end of last month ITV stunned Liar fans by dropping an intense teaser for series 2 completely out of the blue with Joanne Froggatt's Laura shouting: "There is a long list of people who had reason to kill him...I did not murder Andrew Earlham."

And on Saturday night, as millions were tuning into see two more celebs unmasked on The Masked Singer, an extended trailer for Liar series 2 aired - which you can watch in the video above - and it crucially revealed when it will be start.

We don't have too long to wait either as it has now been confirmed that Liar will be back on ITV in March.
