ITV plots Jeremy Kyle comeback with two programmes weeks after guest's suicide

Jeremy Kyle, axed by ITV after a guest on his confrontational show killed himself, is to return to the network with two programmes.

In a new series of The Kyle Files he will tackle social issues using secret filming.

Ideas for the other programme are still in the melting pot with bosses examining previous shows the 53-year-old has produced for the channel.

These include Jeremy Kyle’s Emergency Room, in which people aired medical worries to doctors, and High Stakes, which offered big-money prizes but was axed after one run.

A source revealed: “The Kyle Files will be back as usual in early 2020 and another show is being sought for him.”

Kyle, who once bragged he was “the most hated man in the UK, possibly the world”, was “devastated” last month when The Jeremy Kyle Show was axed after the suicide of guest Steve Dymond, left.

Earlier this week it emerged Kyle had turned down an invitation to be quizzed about the death by a committee of MPs.
