The Queen made a public appearance tonight as she attended the first of her Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.
ITV aired a special programme, filmed live from outside Windsor Castle to mark the Queen reigning Britain for 70 years. Though Queen Elizabeth II actually passed the milestone back in February, the commemoration has been moved to June in order to be combined with the spring bank holiday to create an extended four-day weekend of celebrations.
Phillip Schofield and Julie Etchingham hosted the night which welcomed some huge celebrity names such as Tom Cruise, Damian Lewis, Adjoa Andoh and Alan Titchmarsh. Other stars included Andrew Lloyd Webber, Ant and Dec, Joan Collins, Mo Farah, David Jason, Kelly Holmes, Moira Stewart, Trevor McDonald, and Maureen Lipman.

The Queen has recently missed several public appearances including the first day of the Royal Horse Show last week. Her Majesty's recent withdrawal from events has sparked fresh health concerns ahead of her Platinum Jubilee.
But tonight, the 96-year-old Monarch was applauded by the public as she appeared at her celebrations. She emerged from a car as she was greeted by officials.
She wore a mid-blue shawl with sparkles embellished on the trim, as well as a lighter blue blouse. She used a cane as a walking aid as she made her way to her seat.
Viewers on Twitter became emotional as they watched Her Majesty made what is now a rare public appearance. Lauren said: "I got so emotional seeing the queen get out the car then doesn’t she look fabulous !!! #PlatinumJubilee."
Robin said: "#queensjubilee #PlatinumJubilee That was strangely emotional, seeing her using a walking stick was heartbreaking." Maisy said: "Quite emosh watching HMTQ arrive. She looks lovely."
