ITV offer condolences to mum-of-two Beth McKenna's family as GoFundMe funeral target smashed

Tragic mum Beth McKenna's loved ones have smashed a fundraising target to cover the cost of her funeral.

The 26-year-old, from Walker, passed away suddenly earlier this month.

Tributes have since poured in for the mum-of-two and her "heart of pure gold".

Now ITV has offered condolences to the friends and family of Beth, who earlier this year appeared on This Morning after she slammed nosy neighbours for calling the police over her kids playing in the paddling pool.

The story was also discussed on Loose Women.

An ITV spokesperson said: "Our sympathies are with Beth’s family and friends.”

It comes after the £2,000 fundraising target for her funeral was passed within a week of her passing.

Northumbria Police confirmed they had been called last Saturday to an address in Courtfield Road after Beth became unwell.

"Emergency services attended the address but sadly the woman died at the scene," added a spokesperson.

"Police do not believe there to be any third party involvement and a report has been prepared for the coroner.”

It sparked a huge outpouring of grief on Facebook, with friends remembering an "amazing lass".

Another wrote: "Your memories will last forever."

The coroner, based at Newcastle Civic Centre, said it had received a file for Beth and an inquest is expected to be held at a later date.
