ITV Love Island's Luca and Gemma address reunion 'tiff' rumours during joint Good Morning Britain appearance

Love Island couple Gemma Owen and Luca Bish were quizzed on reports of a recent row following recording of the show's much-anticipated reunion. The pair, who made it to the final of the ITV2 dating contest and finished runner-up, appeared on Good Morning Britain on Monday (August 8).

Their appearance on the ITV news programme came a week after they left the Mallorcan villa for the first time and a day after fans saw them interviewed by Laura Whitmore during the Love Island reunion on Sunday night - which has been criticised by fans.

Gemma, 19, and Luca, 23, were reunited on Sunday night (August 7) ahead of their first joint TV appearance. Gemma, who had spent the weekend reuniting with her family including dad Michael Owen at their jaw-dropping mansion, posted a snap of the pair to Instagram.

She first took to her Instagram Story to post a snap of herself all glammed-up, traveling in the back of a car. "Back in the road," she shared alongside the snap before then returning to the social media platform with a photo of herself and Luca.

The pair could be seen smiling for the camera in a restaurant as they enjoyed a glass of wine the real world after spending eight weeks cooped up in Spain in the Love Island villa.

Their reunion comes days after a 'telling comment' from Luca suggested he and his new partner had a lover's tiff following filming for the show's 90-minute reunion episode. The dressage rider and the fishmonger from Brighton were snapped looking glum as they wrapped up the night and headed home to their hotel.

Gemma tried to keep a low profile in her figure-hugging black dress, while Luca also tried to lay low in his matching black ensemble. As Gemma attempted to cover her face as she headed into the hotel, Luca was left trailing behind her with her handbag in tow. Sensing some tension between the lovebirds, a photographer quipped to Luca: "You've got your hands full there!" the Mirror reported.

The reality TV star replied: "Oh don't mate! She's got the right hump with me!" But Gemm and Luca have now been quizzed on their somber appearance by Richard Madeley and Charlotte Hawkins on GMB. "We were a little bit worried," Charlotte said before suggesting there may have been a 'tiff' between them.

The runners-up laughed and both said no, with Gemma adding: "Absolutely not!" Luca then continued: "I walked in, I was behind Gemma with her bag and she walked straight in. I don't think any of us said a word but apparently, we spoke." He added: "Usually I do say something but that night we were pretty quiet."

Also speaking on the ITV show today, Luca said of his new partner: "You've changed a little. For the better, she's come more out of her shell. When I saw you with your mum and that," as Gemma shot him a look before sharing how close she is to her mum Louise.

The pair also hit back at claims they were on the rocks, as Gemma insisted they were "official without the label" before Luca vowed: "I will ask her," as they were quizzed on whether they'll officially be boyfriend and girlfriend soon.
