ITV Love Island's Antigoni Buxton finally addresses Jacques O'Neill romance rumours after being quizzed on Lorraine

Rumours have been flying around about the relationship status of Antigoni Buxton and Jacques O'Neill following their exit from Love Island. Antigoni, who is the daughter of celebrity chef Tonia Buxton and Jacques, a rugby player from Cumbria, appear to have been spending a lot of time together since returning to the UK which has fuelled many romance rumours.

Earlier in the series Jacques made the decision to quit the ITV2 dating show after it took a toll on his mental health. Despite being coupled up with Welsh paramedic Paige, Jacques decided to get to know Cheyanne Kerr during Casa Amor. But despite choose Paige over Cheyanne in the recoupling, has antics were exposed as Cheyanne revealed they had kissed and shared a bed.

In the days following Jacques, 23, attempted to prove his feelings for Paige were real, but just as they began to reconcile, bombshell Adam Collard from the 2018 series made a dramatic comeback. The returning season four Islander made it clear that he had his sights set on Paige which ruffled Jacques' feathers.

Things then came to a head and a tearful Jacques told Paige that he needed to go home to "get back to himself" so he could be at his "best" for her. Despite telling her he would wait for her on the outside, Paige has since been growing ever closer to Adam and the pair have now made their relationship official.

However it seems that Jacques isn't too fazed by his former flame's new relationship as he has been spotted out and about looking cosy with Antigoni. The singer, 26, entered the villa as a bombshell but failed to find a connection and was dumped from the Island by her fellow contestants.

Earlier this month, Jacques and Antigoni met up in London for brunch alongside their mums, Janet and Tonia. The pair shared snaps from their reunion with fans were quick to suggest that the pair made a 'great couple'.

Last week the duo were pictured in Manchester as they went for dinner together at Peter Street Kitchen and attended the star-studded Mars the Label and WeShop launch party as Rosso Restaurant.

On the way to Manchester, Antigoni filmed herself in the car alongside Jacques as they headed into the city. "Made it to Manchester but this taxi driver is a bit of a rebel," the blonde beauty said before turning the camera on a smiling Jacques.

Following their big night out, Antigoni appeared on Lorraine on Monday morning alongside her fellow Islanders Summer Botwe and Jay Younger.

The ex-contestants took the sofa alongside Ranvir Singh, who is currently stepping in for Lorraine Kelly, to reveal what really happens in the villa during filming - and who they are backing to win ahead on tonight's final.

Speaking about her time on the show Antigoni revealed: "We wouldn't go to bed until like 3am. The night that I left I think it was like 5am. The recouplings take hours."

Ranvir then quizzed Antigoni on the rumours of a relationship blossoming: "And Antigoni, people think that you and Jacques are dating.

Tonia Buxton's daughter quickly jumped in: "We are absolutely friends, he's literally like my little brother."

Then as Ranvir tried to suggest otherwise mimicking the "friends" term, Antigoni shut it down: "No no like genuinely real friends. We go to a restaurant and I'm like cutting his food up. I love him to pieces but there's no romance there."
