ITV Love Island: New boy Jay clashes with Jacques within moments of joining villa

New bombshell entry to the Love Island villa Jay has caused controversy within moments of entering the show. In a heated exchange Jacques threatened to "flatten" him.

Before the clash took place, Jay admitted to the girls he was not in the villa to make friends, he said: "I'm not here to make friends, I'm not here for seasonal boyfriends."

The clash came when Jacques asked Jay what he did for a living and called him "big boy". Jay explained he works in finance and Jacques told him that he was a rugby player.

Jay then took a swipe at Jacques saying: "You're a bit small for a rugby player, aren't you?" and Jacques quickly replied: "You run at me, I'll flatten you, lad!" leaving the conversation very tense.

Viewers of the show noticed the clear tension between the two contestants and took to Twitter to air their thoughts. One said: "JACQUES AND JAY LETS GOOOOO" another said: "Jacques and Jay are gonna clash and I love it. I need violence."

A third added: "I'm here for a scrap between Jay and Jacques... settle it here and now... Rugby vs Finance" and: "I can foresee jay and jacques getting into fisticuffs that would be good tv."

Elsewhere in the episode, the girls are set to make and feed the new boys a three-course meal. Jay picked Amber for starter, Ekin-Su for main, and Tasha for dessert while Remi opted for Indiyah for starter, Paige for main, and dessert dished up by the twice-picked Ekin-Su.

The boys are also feeling under pressure from the entry of the two new bombshells Jay and Remi Lambert. Jay may also expose Gemma's secret about her famous dad, footballer Michael Owen, who she has not yet told the other Islanders about.
