ITV Love Island: Fans given the 'ick' by Islander following comments towards new bombshell Leah

Love Island returned on Thursday night, which saw the arrival of the latest bombshell 22-year-old footballer Scott Van Der Sluis who has put his career on hold to take part in the reality show in a bid to find love in the Mallorca villa.

And emotions were running high as one of the strongest couples was put to the test as Mehdi told Whitney he "didn't want to be part of this" referencing the drama unfolding from her confronting Jess Harding about her comments on Molly.

"I feel like you felt some kind of way about Molly and you didn't choose her in the challenge," Catherine said as her and Whitney confronted her about not speaking up on her thoughts on the musical theatre performer to her face.

Jess defended herself as she said anything she said was a joke and "I didn't think she's two-faced at all" as she says she didn't feel the situation between Molly and Mitchel was fair on him.

She then stormed off from her chat with Whitney and Catherine. "If I hear you or Catherine made her cry I am going to be very upset," Mehdi told Whitney as he addressed the situation with his partner.

Jess pulled partner Sammy aside as she didn't feel he was fully invested in her. "I think it's fear of rejection, I'm holding myself back a little bit because of that," she told him on tonight's show admitting she isn't good at showing her emotions.

Sammy didn't waste any time sitting down for a flirt with Leah, as he admitted Jess has the personality but he was getting swayed by bombshell Leah and even asked her to sleep outside together on the day beds.

"If Leah's better than Jess we can't say that yet. Having a bit of fun and seeing who I prefer really," Sammy said in the beach hut as he called her "tasty" and it has got ITV viewers skin crawling.

Fans took to social media during the show where they said there was "something off" about Sammy and admitted he has given them "the ick" by watching him on the dating show.

One person wrote: "what is it with sammy and calling girls tasty #loveisland," whilst someone else added: "Idk something about Sammy makes me want to deck him #LoveIsland."

"Sammy is so odd to me. From the way he smiles to the way he talks he gives me the ick #LoveIsland," added another viewer.

Someone else wrote: "Sammy is proper creepy #Loveisland," as another said: "something about sammy i don’t like idk #loveisland."

Love Island continues on ITV2 and ITVX each weeknight at 9pm.
