Viewers of ITV daytime show Lorraine were shocked at the age of pregnant Coronation Street actress Hayley Tamaddon.
The former Corrie star, who played Andrea Beckett in the soap, appeared on the show to talk about her pregnancy at 42.
Host Lorraine Kelly told how she did not look 42 and fans on Twitter agreed.
One tweeted: "42 and looks like a child good jeans (sic) I am 38 I guess no one looks there age anymore."
Another said: "You look great hope it all goes well."
Hayley, who also played Del Dingle in Emmerdale , said she never thought she would be able to have children.
She told Lorraine: "You get to 40 and you think, 'I think that's it', I heard there is only a 5% chance of getting pregnant each month after 40 and the risk of miscarriage increases."
The Dancing On Ice star said she met her partner when looking for an estate agent and realised she had grown up on the same street as Adrian when they were children.
She said: "We were friends for five years after that, then when we found that we were both single and went on a date."
The couple are now engaged to be married and they are expecting a baby boy in September.
