Some Lorraine viewers were left cringing this morning when the 59-year-old asked if Peter Crouch was 'sporty'.
The Scottish host was interviewing the former Liverpool player's wife Abbey Clancy and her daughter Sophia on the ITV breakfast show.
The 33-year-old model was on the show to talk about her new Lipsy line with her eight-year-old daughter.
But during the segment Lorraine Kelly asked Sophia: "Is dad quite sporty?"
Immediately fans took to Twitter about the veteran presenter's question, @chrisisgraet2 said: "Is dad sporty? He's played football for every club in the football league."
Another, @YTVChase said: "Is Peter Crouch quite sporty? Oh no."
A third, @Beckie_Miller_ said: "Did #Lorraine just ask if Peter Crouch is “quite sporty”?"
Abbey went on to admit that she hates football and has heard all the stories in Peter's new book 'I, Robot:How to be a Footballer 2' so doesn't need to read it.
Lorraine could not believe the mum-of-four did not enjoy football, Abbey said: "I am a terrible WAG."
Yesterday Abbey and Sophia launched the new Lipsy line, Sophia modelling the new kids clothes range.
The pair were seen holding hands in sweet snaps taken inside a stunning stately home.
One of the shots shows mum and daughter wearing very similar black dresses, while another features them in almost matching feathered frocks.
Abbey and Peter are also parents to Liberty, four, Johnny, 20 months, and baby Jack, who was born in June.
