ITV Lorraine viewers and celebs distracted as Ranvir Singh shows off new look

Sporting a new 'do', ITV presenter Ranvir Singh has left viewers and fellow presenters gushing as she stepped in to Lorraine's shoes on the hit show on Monday, April 3. Lorraine Kelly was off the show for a holiday.

As she appeared briefly on Good Morning Britain to give viewers the heads up on what was coming up on the programme, Kate Garraway interrupted the 45-year-old to comment on her hair haircut.

Kate said: "Can I just have a brief moment to talk fringe?" Adding: "I love it! I'm jealous of it, I want to know your hairdresser and I want it for me."

Viewers were also loving the new look. As Ranvir covered the latest news and entertainment topics on the long running morning programme, viewers took to Twitter to discuss the new look.

Ranvir's raven black hair was shorter and styled with a blunt fringe. One social media user said: "@ranvir01 absolutely loving your hair this morning xx." Another said: "LOVE @ranvir01's new hairdo! She really suits the fringe." While a third added: "Ranvir looking hot this morning."

But the compliments didn't stop there, as Alison Hammond, who appeared via video link from the This Morning studio, told Ranvir she looked "hot", according to the Mirror.

Ranvir replacing Lorraine was met with mixed reviews on Monday morning, as some felt Lorraine should have been on hand to host the show. Taking to Twitter in fury, one fan penned: "It comes as no surprise to that Lorraine Kelly is once again NOT presenting her own show for yet ANOTHER half term and it’s left to the long suffering Ranvir.

"It’s funny how she has every school term off even though her own kids are grown up and in their 20s."

Despite some complaints, others were loving Ranvir on the show, with one writing: "When somebody stands in for a main presenter of a show they actually are more popular and do a better job."

Last week, Lorraine's absence became the talk of the town as she was replaced by Christine Lampard on Friday morning.
