ITV Lorraine forced to stop show and deny to viewers that she has coronavirus

Lorraine Kelly was forced to pause her daytime TV show and issue a denial after viewers noticed her coughing on air.

The panicked ITV presenter confirmed to fans that she does not have Covid, after she interrupted an interview with a guest on Monday.

The popular Scottish television presenter Lorraine was left denying she had coronavirus during a hectic start to the day.

Lorraine, aged 61, was interviewing Heather Peace via video link when she erupted into a coughing fit, reports our sister title Birmingham Live.

She said: "Sorry, I've got a cough."

She then protested: "It's not Covid, it's not Covid!

"I did the test this morning, it's not, honestly."

Earlier this year, Lorraine surprised fans by revealing her real name on her vaccine card.

Lorraine held up the ticket showing she had the Oxford/AstraZeneca jab alongside her true name - 'Lorraine Smith'.

She posed with the card writing: "Vaccinated! So relieved!

"Easy peasy - didn’t feel a thing - thanks so much to all the cheery volunteers and NHS staff who made it SO simple!!

"Please please get vaccinated!! We are so lucky to have the opportunity Xxx."

ITV 1 show Lorraine continues to air each and every weekday, from Monday morning to Friday morning, from 9am til 10am on both ITV 1 and also on the ITV Hub after episodes have aired.
