ITV Loose Women stars support Kerry Katona as she is visibly upset discussing ex

Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona was supported by the Loose Women presenters as she appeared on the latest episode of the ITV lunchtime show. The former singer appeared on the show to discuss her new memoir, Kerry Katona: Whole Again - Love, Life and Me: My Story.

She joined the panel in front of a live audience alongside Jane Moore, Janet Street-Porter, Coleen Nolan and Linda Robson. She wore a bright coloured pink and green outfit while her hair had been styled into curls, reports Manchester Evening News.

Kerry became visibly emotional as the presenters asked her about her relationship with George Kay, who died in 2019. She appeared on the show a few years ago where she had also become emotional about her split from George who is the father of her youngest child, Dylan-Jorge, who is now eight years old.

When asked why she kept details of their relationship secret, Kerry said: "The fear, the fear from George was so severe. Lily and Molly [her daughters with ex Brian McFadden] would come home from school and I'd say 'just go upstairs,' I'll never forgive myself for that." As she became emotional, Linda asked Kerry if she tried to 'shield the kids' from what was going on, to which she replied: "They never saw anything but they heard a lot of it."

Seeing she was getting upset, Jane stepped in and said "Kerry, it wasn't your fault," before Kerry continued: "It's not about, blame, it's a fear..." When asked by Coleen, who also offered her words of support, what she would tell someone who is "sitting at home in the same situation," Kerry began to cry.

Kerry, who also shared children Heidi and Maxwell with ex-husband Mark Croft, revealed she is freezing her eggs so her partner has the option to be a father to his own children if he wants to in the future. "The thing is my other half is eight years younger than me," she said on the show before joking: "I can still pull them, love!"

"He has no children of his own and me and the kids are enough for him, more than enough for him, and he’s happy with that," she continued. "But I also don’t want to rob him of that option. Things might change in the future, I’m 42, I know I’ve not got much time left, there might not be that many eggs left anyway. Boiled, scrambled, fried, you pick I don’t know.

"So I think getting them frozen, and having that option there – I’d never carry a child again because I nearly died with DJ, DJ did die, she’s alive now – I think that’s my body saying enough is enough, but having the option there, to have a surrogate, you know, it’s there."
