ITV Loose Women's Linda Robson breaks silence on This Morning 'feud' after reaction to Holly and Phillip spotted

Linda Robson has addressed claims there is a 'feud' between Loose Women and This Morning after some of the panel show's stars failed to clap as the likes of Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield picked up an award on behalf of the ITV daytime favourite.

Last Thursday (October 13), This Morning bagged the Daytime award at the National Television Awards for the fifth year in a row, seeing off competition from Loose Women as well as The Chase and The Repair Shop during the glitzy ceremony at London’s OVO Wembley Arena.

Holly and Phillip led to This Morning team onto the stage to collect their latest gong. It comes soon after the pair faced criticism over the past month following claims they skipped the queue for the Queen’s lying in state.

As the popular programme was announced as the winner by Strictly Come Dancing pair Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin, Phillip was seen putting his head in his hands and appeared to hold back tears while Holly looked equally as surprised and thrilled as she immediately hugged her co-star and off-screen 'bestie'.

However, viewers spotted that while the majority of the Loose Women did clap, albeit seemingly unhappily, Linda Robson and Judi Love did not join them. It quickly led to speculation of a 'feud' behind the scenes.

But Linda has now quashed that claim. Speaking to The Sun, Linda suggested she felt disappointed Loose Women lost out but her not clapping was not related to Holly and Phil. "There is no issue between me, Holly and Phil,” she told the publication.

She added: "We just showed that we were disappointed that we lost, and we are allowed to be disappointed. It wasn’t that we didn’t clap, we were just going ‘oh no, not again, we haven’t won this year’. It wasn’t deliberately not clapping them, we were just sad for us."

The Birds of a Feather star also said that she was saddened by the reception Holly and Phil received on the night, after claims the pair were booed, adding that the pair did not deserve that. "I felt sorry for the reception they got as well," she continued to The Sun.

“There is no feud at all, we see them all the time, we’re ITV, we all work in the same studio. I felt sorry for the reception that they got, I really did. They just didn’t get the reception that I thought they should."
