Loose Women's Kaye Adams made a barbed comment about Cheryl on today's show.
The Loose Women were talking about if men and women can really understand each other.
The discussion was based on the revelations that Liam Payne had struggled to understand his former girlfriend and mother of his child Cheryl Tweedy.
As she was introducing the topic Kaye said: "Liam Payne and Cheryl, we don't bother using her surname anymore, we don't know what it is."
Her comment caused uproar in the studio and she instantly apologised, saying she "didn't mean it."
But it wasn't long before viewers had their say on the comments on social media.
Darren Haywood said: "Kaye Adams: "We don't bother with Cheryl's surname any more. We don't know what it is". Shade."
Bee1 said: "Oh Kaye, don’t hold back."
Liv said: "SCREAMING at Kay Adams saying we don’t bother with cheryls surname cause we don’t know what it is."
And Lisa said: "Oh Kaye lol will be trending that she slagged Cheryl off now."
Cheryl and Liam announced their split in 2018, after welcoming son Bear in 2017.
Following her split from Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, Cheryl went back to her original surname of Tweedy.
But she now prefers to refer to herself just as Cheryl - similar to Madonna, Adele and Cher.
