Fans of popular panel show Loose Women were upset today to discover the show has been cancelled.
The daytime show, which usually airs at 12.30pm on ITV on weekdays, has been bumped from the schedule this week to make way for coverage of the Cheltenham Festival.
The show has been on the air for 20 years and sees panelists discuss a range of topics as well as news items.
It has amassed a loyal fan base, with viewers keen to tune in and see what presenters including Andrea McLean, Denise Welch, Coleen Nolan and Janet Street-Porter have to say.
Chronicle Live reports viewers hoping to enjoy Loose Women this week have been left disappointed after ITV bosses cancelled it until Monday, March 16.
Taking to Twitter, the official Loose Women account posted: "Have you heard #LooseWomen won't be on TV for the rest of the week? Don't worry, we're not going far . We'll be back on @ITV and @WeAreSTV on Monday 16 March at 12.30pm."
Some fans clearly hadn't seen the message and weren't too impressed that Loose Women wasn't on their screens.
On Twitter, one fan ranted: "Why do we have to lose Loose Women to the most boring sport ever (horse racing is not a sport by the way)".
Another tweeted: "They got sports channels why don’t they use them instead," and a third vented: "why can't you put the horse racing on one of your other free to watch channels. I suppose if the racing had been cancelled because of the coronavirus the ladies would be on. USE YOUR OTHER CHANNELS ITV!"
Another viewer explained that they were so incensed when this happened last year, they made an official complaint to ITV and another posted: "Bloody horse racing, you’ve got umpteen channels @ITV , stop cancelling the one programme I look forward to watching every day."
A number of other Loose Women fans have suggested that This Morning should be cut short to end at 12 and then Loose Women air from 12-1pm.
Loose Women will return on Monday, March 16.
