ITV I'm a Celebrity's Sue Cleaver compares her jungle experience to 'childbirth'

Sue Cleaver has compared her stint on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! to childbirth. The Coronation Street star made her comments in a reunion show which was aired on ITV1 on Thursday, December 2, just days after Jill Scott was crowned this year's winner, beating Hollyoaks star Owen Warner and former health secretary Matt Hancock in the final.

During I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!: The Coming Out Show, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly showed the best bits from the series alongside interviews with the celebrities - including Boy George, Mike Tindall and Matt Hancock - as they came out of the jungle.

Footage showed Sue - the third celebrity to be voted out of the jungle - jumping for joy as she was eliminated before being met on the bridge by her son Elliott (who surprised her) and fellow campmate Scarlette Douglas. As she made her way to the hotel following her exit, the 59-year-old told her husband Brian that her experience in the jungle was an unforgettable one.

She said: "It’s like childbirth, you forget all the bad bits and all you remember is the amazing good bits. I will never forget this." Her son added how she made him "laugh a lot" but admitted how she made him cringe when she danced and sang 'tight pants'.

Later on in the show, while enjoying a luxurious afternoon tea, the campmate - who is diabetic and over the years has unveiled a stunning weight loss transformation - revealed the secret signal she did to her grandchilden watching: a double tap on her heart.

Her husband Brian said: "It was good that you did the secret sign to the grandchildren." Sue asked: "Did they see it?" with a smile, before it cut to clips of her doing the signal as she whispered: "the secret code".

She later added: "This experience has been the ride of my life."
