ITV I'm A Celebrity's Ant McPartlin asks Dec Donnely 'what's going on there' as he makes discovery

Ant McPartlin appeared surprised as he made a discovery about his co-star Dec Donnelly. The Geordie duo were back on screens for the latest installment of jungle action on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here on Monday evening (November 21).

The latest episode came with a bit of Deja Vu as viewers watched Owen Warner take on the Bushtucker trial that was quite the disaster for Chris Moyles just last week. The Hollyoaks actor nominated himself for the challenge, dubbed Boiling Point 2, in order to win all-important meals for camp.

Owen, who is known for playing Romeo Nightingale in the Channel 4 soap, received a much warmer reception from the camp after he triumphed in the return of the trial, which involved finding the right spanner out of four which could then be used to retrieve stars from an underwater network of pipes.

Last week, it left radio presenter Chris noticeably distressed as he managed to secure just one out of a possible 11 stars. But after getting some intel from Chris, 48, Owen, 23, blitzed through the trial and secured all nine stars available, finishing with time to spare. Returning to camp to share the good news, the Channel 4 soap star yelled out: "We eating good tonight."

Elsewhere, there was also the small matter of another elimination and it was Sue Cleaver who was the latest campmate to receive the fewest votes from the public. The Coronation Street icon, famed for playing Eileen Grimshaw in the ITV soap, was ready to leave the jungle after she was seen breaking down and being comforted by Mike Tindall as she struggled with being homesick.

As has now become a tradition during the 2022 series, after the show Ant and Dec took to Instagram for their latest live jungle debrief, starting just as Sue walked under a confetti downpour across the bridge to be reunited with her loved ones and head back to the luxury of a Gold Coast hotel.

The pair were discussing the latest exit and also asked viewers to wade in with their thoughts. But during their latest live chat, Ant and Dec were joined by former campmate Roman Kemp. The Capital FM star lasted the full 22 days in camp in 2019 before finishing in third place behind Corrie's Andy Whyment in second place and former EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa who is still the last Queen of the Jungle following I'm A Celeb's move to the UK during the coronavirus pandemic.

But it appears Dec is in regular contact with Roman, much to Ant's surprise, and appeared to know how the former I'm A Celeb star felt about the series so far. "Tell us who you're enjoying, what you're liking, what you're not liking," Ant probed as Roman replied: "Can I jsut say it's so nice... Dec, I know I said this to you, it is so nice to see it back there [in Australia]."

Roman's reply left Ant giving his co-star a baffled look. "Ah Ant, I don't want to say anything... Dec texts sometimes..." Roman commented noticing the repsonse to which Ant replied: "What? WHAT? Roman Kemp, you're going to get it now, son!" The trio then laughed before they continued on with their chat.

But Ant didn't forget and as they came to wrap up their brief conversation, he remarked: "Keep texting each other, yeah..." As Dec laughed, he said: "That was nice, my old mate Roman." Ant replied: "Oh was it. Your old mate Roman? What the hell is going on there? Have you not heard of group chats? You haven't, have ya? You want them all to yourself."

Of course, it was all in jest and the pair quickly moved on to discussing breakfast, which has become another tradition, as Dec tries some unusual concoctions available at their hotel while they're Down Under.
