ITV I'm A Celebrity's Andy Whyment forced to apologise after fiery stint in camp

I'm A Celebrity's Andy Whyment said he was forced to apologise after his dramatic stint in the show.

The Coronation Street star was one of the campmates competing to be crowned the first ever Legend in South Africa. However, he was eliminated on Monday's episode after he was booted out alongside Georgia Toffolo.

Andy appeared on today's edition of Lorraine and reflected on his time in camp. The 42-year-old admitted his stint in the show was tough as he was a late addition to the camp and was often left eating rice and beans.

He explained how he made sure he said sorry to his mum after an explicit remark on air. He said: "I had to ring my mum the day after to apologise. I'm sure my mum probably knows that I swear a bit but I had to ring her and apologise for my language.

"It was when Helen did the trial against Paul. Helen came in and said she won and my head fell off a bit. That was my third day of rice and beans and I was thinking not again. I had a moment and after that I sorted my head out. I apologised to everybody and just got on with it."

One of the major talking points of this season was when Andy rowed with Janice Dickinson. He reflected on the feud as he told Lorraine: "There was that one moment. We had lots of conversations, me and Janice, and when she came out, everything was fine. I was hungry, I was tired.

"The thing that got me more than anything was when she said 'he doesn't want to do anything for me'. They didn't show it but the day before, we walked to the waterfall – it was quite a long walk away – and we linked the whole way because there were so many rocks."
