ITV I'm A Celebrity return confirmed for next month as former campmates revealed for 'All Star' series

Fans of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here usually use its return as a single that Christmas, and the end of another year, is approaching. But in a surprise move, the hit ITV show will be back on screens NEXT MONTH.

The show's hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly finally put truth to the rumours that there WILL be a new special series of I'm A Celeb back in September. This year, viewers will get to see an I'm A Celebrity 'All Stars' series which the hosting duo have already filmed in South Africa as well as the usual series Down Under, reports the Daily Star.

They confirmed at the time that the new series, which they described as the 'worst kept secret in television' will see a line-up of all old I’m A Celeb contestants and now the 15 celebrities set to take part have reportedly been revealed. Revealing the news about the spin-off series on Twitter, the presenters wrote at the time: "South Africaaaaaaa! That’s right, we’re filming a very special version of I’m A Celebrity in South Africa which is coming to your tellies in 2023."

And on Saturday night (March 25), the pair shared some exciting news with viewers of their other show, Saturday Night Takeaway, as it was announced who'd be taking part in the special extra series after months of rumours.

Happy Monday legend Shaun Ryder, boxing champ Amir Khan, Olympian Fatima Whitbread and ex-cricketer Phil Tufnell are among the former campmates who were convinced by bosses to re-live their I'm A Celeb memories, the Daily Star reports.

The series also won't be short of glamour because former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan and presenter Carol Vorderman are also taking part. Completing the line-up are Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo, supermodel Janice Dickinson and former royal butler Paul Burrell for what is set to be the toughest series yet.

An ITV spokeswoman said: "They survived the Australian jungle, but South Africa is an even harder proposition which will push them to their limits and test them like never before. The challenges are bigger and tougher and the environment harsher and more unforgiving."

And the contestants are determined to go all out to impress viewers. Boxer Amir, who was part of the infamous strawberry incident said: "I'm determined this time not to be soft when it comes to the trials," while Helen, who had to do seven trials in a row during her iconic appearance Down Under added: "I will be scared but I will have a go and I will be a lot better than last time!"

Amir Khan has also signed up (ITV)

More celebs are set to be sent in throughout the series before the show crowns its first I’m A Celebrity Legend. Other stars previously rumoured to be part of the line-up who haven't been included in the initial announcement are Corrie actor Andy Whyment , who took part in the show in 2019 where he was a close runner-up to former EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa , and former winner Joe Swash, who ended up finding love on the show when his now-wife Stacey Solomon won in 2010.

Gillian McKeith, Georgia Toffolo, Janice Dickinson, and Myleene Klass were also reported to have flown out to the new camp for filming last year as was Dean Gaffney.
