ITV I'm A Celebrity... Mike Tindall and Seann Walsh comments spark theory show was pre-recorded

Comments made by recently departed I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! campmates Mike Tindall and Seann Walsh have sparked a conspiracy theory online.

Viewers took to Twitter to question if the popular ITV reality show was actually pre-recorded. The theory was prompted after a recent episode where former England rugby player Mike Tindall referred to the Queen in the present tense.

Tindall, who is married to Princess Anne's daughter Zara, made the comments on Friday night's episode of the programme during a Bushtucker Trial with fellow campmate Matt Hancock. The trial saw the Rugby World Cup winner answering questions to earn the former health secretary time to complete puzzles in a cage.

He was positioned on a seat above a tank of murky liquid and was asked questions relating to each cage, such as what the collective term for spiders is. If he get the answers wrong he was dunked while Hancock had to work through a series of puzzles.

One of the questions, asked by the show's hosts Ant and Dec, was what name is given to a person who keeps and breeds pigeons. "I have a friend at home who will be screaming at the TV," the 44-year-old said.

As Tindall agonised over the answer, sitting MP Hancock quipped: "Yeah and you’ve got a partner here screaming at you." The 44-year-old was dunked after he failed to provide the correct answer of pigeon fancier.

A dejected Tindall told Ant and Dec: "And the worst thing is the Queen has got the biggest collection of pigeon’s." Ant then joked: "If only you were paying attention Mike."

In the same episode, comedian Walsh made reference to topical panel show Mock The Week, which has been axed. Fans were quick to point out that Tindall spoke about Queen Elizabeth II in the present tense while it was announced over the summer that Mock of the Week would end after 17 years.

The Manchester Evening News reported how Twitter user @JimBlower wrote: "Mike doesn't know the Queen died. Seann doesn't know they cancelled Mock the Week. What next? Matt thinks Liz Truss is still PM? #ImACeleb."

@Gem_Rxse added: "Was I’m A Celebrity actually filmed in August or something? Mike referencing the Queen as if she’s still alive, Seann talking about Mock The Week (RIP both) #ImACelebrity #ImACeleb," before having to clarify: "This was supposed to be a joke."

@I_am_KenBarlow wrote: "#ImACeleb Mike Tindall 'The Queen has the biggest collection of pigeons' Has no one told him???" @margesadventure added: "Awe Bless Mike saying The Queen has a collection of pigeons, she's passed away Mike. #ImACeleb."
