ITV I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Scarlett Moffatt hits back at being 'axed' from show

Former queen of the jungle Scarlett Moffatt has hit back at claims her career is crumbling after news she was dropped from Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

The 29-year-old had previously described the show as her 'dream job' when she landed the contract following her appearance on ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

But yesterday it was announced she would no longer be taking part in the programme, with a spokesperson thanking her for her hard work.

An ITV spokesman said: "Scarlett Moffatt won't feature as a contributor in the 2020 series of Saturday Night Takeaway.

"We thank Scarlett for all of her hard work on the show and will announce details of the new series nearer transmission."

There were then a series of reports that her career was 'crumbling', but the former Gogglebox star from County Durham was quick to dismiss the stories.

Talking to her Instagram stories, she said: "So just in case any of the press aren't aware, The British Tribe next door actually got over 2 million viewers so I'm doing OK thanks huns.

"I've got my own  clothing range out with Peacocks , so yeah, interesting news articles today.

"Also just forgot I'm also the host of the podcast for BBC for Ru Paul; just been on Loose Women celebrating the Lottery's 25th birthday, also brand ambassador for Wowcher and doing panto in three weeks time."

Scarlett is taking on the role of the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella at Sunderland Empire over the festive period, alongside Boulevard Newcastle's compere Miss Rory and local lad and Superstar finalist Jon Moses.
