ITV I'm A Celebrity fans convinced they spot 'hidden messages' in campmates' outfits

I'm A Celebrity's campmates took on the tough challenge of the Celebrity Cyclone - but it wasn't the challenge that had viewers talking. Many fans were distracted by the outfits they had selected.

And some fans of the ITV show were convinced they spotted some well-placed secret messages. But Mike Tindall's eviction shortly after during Saturday's episode put a stop to their theories, after suggesting his gold shorts meant he would end the show as king of the jungle.

The Celebrity Cyclone challenge sees campmates tasked to get their giant stars onto the staggered star markers, all while being pelted with balls and pushed down with water and wind, The Mirror reports.

During Saturday's show, Mike Tindall, Matt Hancock, Jill Scott and Owen Warner struggled against the wild waters as they were battered while Ant and Dec giggling to the side.

Campmates dressed up as superheroes in tight pants with their tiny metallic shorts. Hollyoaks' Owen opted for a pair of golden shorts and a matching cape, England football star Jill picked purple while MP Hancock selected a a striking bronze ensemble.

Former England rugby player Mike dazzled in silver and the colour picks caused plenty of debate.

Fans thought there might be hidden messages in the Cyclone shorts. One posted: "#ImACeleb giving Matt, Mike and Owen bronze silver and gold outfits for cyclone definitely doesn't look like the show might be a set up."

Another said: "Reading too much in to it but Owen = gold - 1st, Mike = silver - 2nd?"

A third noticed it too, saying: "Guarantee that #ImACeleb are telling us with the cyclone colours the order in which the celebs will finish the show. Owen- gold, Mike- Silver, Matt-bronze and Jill-fourth. Probably using the stats from previous voting polls."

Of course, we soon found out that we'd read too much into it.

Mike didn't come second after viewers watched his eviction about ten minutes after the brilliant challenge.

The Rugby World Cup winner arrived at the plush JW Marriott hotel with wife Zara Phillips and despite coming fourth was given a heroes welcome.

Mike, 44, held his hands high to celebrate as he entered the hotel. He then hugged campmates including Seann Walsh and Sue Cleaver before heading off with Zara for a shower and some food in one of the hotel's plush suites.

That left Jill, Matt and Owen to compete in the final to be crowned King or Queen of the jungle tonight.
