ITV I'm A Celebrity campmate claims she's being ‘ghosted’ by Chris Moyles

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! star Scarlette Douglas has revealed that her 2022 co-star Chris Moyles has ghosted her. The pair struck up a bond after appearing on the ITV series together earlier this year.

Now A Place In The Sun's Scarlette, 35, has said that Chris, 48, has failed to respond to her voice messages since they both left the jungle. Speaking to Johnny Seifert on his Secure the Insecure podcast, the presenter said: "So Chris and I had met on the Ant and Dec Tour, so when I saw him, I was like, 'I've met you before. We've got a mutual friend, I am the voice of Capital Xtra and you are on Radio X next to the Capital Xtra studio.' And he's like, 'No way.' So we had a really good bond since when we were in there.

"And then since we've come out, I kind of message him a bit, and he doesn't really get back to me. So if you're listening, Chris, can you please reply to my voice note?" asked Scarlette, keen to reignite her friendship with the Radio X presenter.

Scarlette added: "I just think he's actually busy. And he's actually got a life outside of me sending voice notes. But when we were in there, we had this thing. So we both love the Hunger Games. So just randomly we'd whistle the theme. And we would just do that to each other all the time. And that was our thing. So I just send him voice notes doing that whistle, and then he just doesn't actually listen to them."

Despite Scarlette and Chris' seemingly strong bond, she then told the podcast that her co-star had brought contraband into camp. "Chris had breath freshener. I don't know how he got that. And you know, the spray breath spray. So he got that in to be doing that here and there," she said.

She added that controversial campmate Matt Hancock also had things that he shouldn't in the jungle. Scarlette said: "I know that Matt Hancock had some contraband in there. I mean, it's nothing too exciting. But I remember seeing him once kind of flossing his teeth with you know, the incidental brushes. I was like, what is that? I've not got that in my kit.

"He said it's contraband. Okay, so you're not allowed to bring it in. You're not allowed to bring anything in at all. They give you a pack a backpack, and in there you have a soap toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, a razor and shave stick. That's it."

Scarlette finished in tenth on this year's series of I'm A Celebrity. The series was won by former professional footballer Jill Scott. You can get more TV news and other story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.
