ITV I'm A Celebrity bosses issue ultimatum after learning of rule break in camp

I'm A Celebrity's spin-off South Africa show sees ITV bosses give the campmates an ultimatum in scenes set to air on Thursday, April 27. Despite having previously been on the show, and knowing all its rules, it seems there's contraband in camp during a first look at tonight's episode.

Pulling another campmate to the long drop, television nutritionist Gillian reveals she’s smuggled some contraband into camp, and it seems she's not the only one who has been up to no good. Sharing her secrets, however, may have been a bad move, as ITV bosses caught wind of it.

Later, a Bush Bulletin arrives in camp. As Toff reads it out, the celebrities are alerted to the fact that there’s contraband in camp… and that there are consequences.

Toff reads: "Celebrities, there is contraband in camp. You will not get your dinner until you’ve surrendered all contraband. There’s an amnesty bowl in the Telegraph."

Whether the guilty party fesses up is yet to be seen. It's not the first time Gillian has smuggled contraband into camp.

During her first stint in 2010 the television star managed to sneak in eight stock cubes and assorted bags of cumin, celery and garlic, rock salt and herbs. At the time she revealed how she smuggled the forbidden haul in her knickers.

And she's not the only one, in 2021 Naughty Boy tried to get spices into the Welsh camp at Gwrych Castle but was instantly caught. While Made in Chelsea star Hugo Taylor flouted the rules by hiding salt and pepper sachets in his backpack in 2012.

I'm A Celebrity continues on ITV1 and ITVX on weeknights at 9pm. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
