ITV I'm a Celeb's Owen Warner on eating mission to put weight back on as he reveals how much he lost in the jungle

After a diet of rice and beans in the I'm a Celebrity jungle, Hollyoaks star Owen Warner is happily eating his way through his favourite dishes. The 23-year-old heartthrob, who plays Romeo Nightingale in the Channel Four soap, was known for his food talk in the jungle, even dreaming one night that he went to Nando's with campmate Mike Tindall.

Owen was so hungry, he told hosts Ant and Dec that a fermented egg in his gruesome eating trial was 'decent.' He followed his eating challenge with a reward meal of calamari to start, followed by a quadruple cheeseburger with various cheeses and bacon on top, a pizza-sized cookie dough and American-style pancakes with syrup.

And now he's out he's making up for lost meals by chomping on more food to regain the weight he lost during his three week stint on on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here. The actor, who came in second place after Queen of the Jungle Lioness Jill Scott, lost 8lbs in the jungle.

Owen shared a batch of pictures and video clips on his Instagram, including ones of himself getting a haircut. And he did some serious multi-tasking by getting stuck into a plate of pizza and chips at the same time, which was helpfully held out for him as the stylist worked on his fresh cut.

Owen captioned the post with ticks at the side of each accomplishment: "Food. Haircut. More food." And he explained: "Slowly settling back in to real life (and putting back the 8kg I lost in the jungle)." He added: "#FeedOwen."

Owen also shared a snap of himself tucking into another burger and a video showed him grinning as he tackled a full size cake. His Hollyoaks co-star and former I'm A Celebrity contestant Malique Thompson-Dwyer said: "Ahahaha this guy man back in his natural habitat fresh trim and bare food."

And Parry Glasspool, who played Harry Thompson in the Channel Four soap, gasped: "8kg!?!?!? I dont know how you did it. " Adding congratulations about his jungle triumph he said: "Well done kidda, glad everyone can see the real you!"
