ITV Hollington Drive hit with complaints as viewers report same issue

ITV's new drama Hollington Drive was under fire after tonight's episode.

The thriller has been exploring the fallout of 10-year-old Alex Boyd's killing after he went missing from the idyllic suburb.

The series focuses on the relationship between sisters Helen and Theresa, who is played by Line of Duty's Anna Maxwell Martin.

The third episode of the four part mini-series aired tonight and showed how the pressure is getting to Theresa after the police make their first arrest.

The episode also showed Alex's vigil and Theresa's attempts to resume her normal life.

However, Ben threw a spanner in the works when he informed Theresa how he plans to go to the police.

Viewers of the show on Twitter were distracted and said they were struggling to follow the events of Wednesdays episode due to the audio quality.

Sarah said: "Why is everyone mumbling or should I see a doc about my hearing?"

Kim added: "I think they spent all their money trying to persuade Anna Maxwell Martin and Rachael Stirling to star is this load of rubbish that they had no money left for the SOUND DEPARTMENT."

Amy commented: "The sound quality on this show is TERRIBLE."

Claire posted: "I'm using subtitles because I can't hear what they're muttering."

Evelyn added: "Audio is still very bad."

Hollington Drive continues next Wednesday at 9pm on ITV and ITVHub
