ITV bosses has spoken to Piers Morgan over his coverage of Meghan Markle, the CEO has said.
Piers stormed off Good Morning Britain when his co-star Alex Beresford slammed his behaviour towards Meghan and Prince Harry "diabolical" on Tuesday.
The breakfast TV star, 55, has been unrelenting in his scathing attack on Meghan and Prince Harry over the past few months.
Now ITV Chief Executive Carolyn McCall told reporters the Director of Television Kevin Lygo has had words with Piers behind the scenes — as he does on a regular basis.
"I haven’t spoken to Piers myself, but I know Kevin Lygo is speaking to him on a regular basis and has done so the last couple of days," she said.

ITV's Carolyn threw her support behind Meghan as she "completely believe what she said" about her mental health.
In the Oprah chat, Meghan opened up for the first time about feeling suicidal because of the mounting pressure of her Royal duties.
The ITV guru insisted the broadcaster "listens" and "believes" because it's "very committed" to getting people to speak up about their struggles.
According to Variety, she said: "I completely believe what she said, that the most important thing with mental health that ITV does and is totally committed to, is that we support, we get people to speak up, we listen, we say everyone has to listen and everyone has to believe because that’s how you get people to speak up. So we are very committed to that.

"We work with Mind and we work with CALM and we work with the whole range of health charities, and we will continue to do so."
Her response come after Mental health charity Mind said they were "disappointed and concerned" with Piers' comments about not believing Meghan.
Elsewhere, Carolyn cited the row between Alex and Piers was a good example of how "ITV has many voices" on the show.
She added: "Alex made an impassioned and articulate statement really. And it was quite a noisy discussion that I don’t think there was anything manufactured about that at all.
"I think one of the things I would stress is that ITV has many voices and we try and represent many voices on ITV every day.
"It’s not about one opinion. And so I think that’s what happened this morning."
Among many rants about the couple, Piers blasted Meghan and Harry's bombshell Oprah interview as a "disgraceful betrayal of the Queen and the Royal family ".

Good Morning Britain's presenter made sensational claims the "vile destructive self-serving nonsense" had come from Meghan.
In a series of tweets, Piers launched an eyebrow-raising attack on the couple.
He tweeted: "Harry wants America and the rest of the world to hate his own family, hate the Monarchy and hate his country.
"I suggest everyone waits for the victims of his wife’s rampage to have their say on her outlandish claims before they do so.
"This interview is an absolutely disgraceful betrayal of the Queen and the Royal Family. I expect all this vile destructive self-serving nonsense from Meghan Markle - but for Harry to let her take down his family and the Monarchy like this is shameful.
"I wouldn’t believe Meghan Markle if she gave me a weather report."
