ITV Good Morning Britain viewers stunned by Michael Jackson son Prince's appearance on the show as they share similar thought

Good Morning Britain viewers were left sharing the same remarks as they saw Michael Jackson's eldest son Prince on the show. The 25-year-old made a rare TV appearance during Friday's edition (October 28) of the ITV news programme to chat to Adil Ray and Charlotte Hawkins.

Prince was discussing the 40th anniversary of his dad's hit Thriller. His appearance live on the show also came ahead of a charity event he and his family hold at their family home in honour of his dad's memory with all proceeds going to Heal Los Angeles. But he was also quizzed on and responded to claims Harry Styles has become the new King of Pop.

Adil first asked Prince on how he felt about Thriller and asked for his thoughts on the video at the time. And despite being born over a decade after the 'mini-movie' visuals dropped, he was still left with "nightmares" of his icon father.

He said: "One of my earliest memories is watching Thriller at the theatre in Neverland. We watched it on the big screen but seeing that film, seeing my dad transform into the monster, I used to have nightmares about when he would turn around and say 'Get away!'

"It was that mid-transformation that just terrified me and he thought it would be a funny joke to tell me that was real. The night that we watched it was the night of a full moon and he was messing around with my sister and me and we got so scared of him we'd run away because we thought he was going to turn into the whercat."

During the interview with Charlotte Hawkins and Adil Ray, Prince responded to claims Harry Styles has become the new King of Pop. Appearing live via video link from his Los Angeles home, Prince said: "Harry Styles is an incredible artist and he's got his own genre. He's an amazing artist, but the King of Pop was a moniker my dad really earned during a time when access to information, the access to popularity and fame wasn't as possible as it is today.

"With so many other social factors you have at the time, I do feel like my father is the King of Pop and always will be the King of Pop, and it's not something you can ever take away because we've just evolved so much as a society." He added: "Those same factors will never be the same. So when you look about where my father started to where he ended versus where all the people started to where they ended, it's just night and day of a difference."

Michael died in June 2009, aged 50, at his California home after suffering from cardiac arrest. Reflecting on his father's legacy, Prince told Adil and Charlotte: "I was born into it – I was born in ’97 in the middle of the History tour – so anytime we were travelling around, there were always people surrounding him and, for me, that just kind of felt normal.

Prince was on GMB to chat about his dad and his legacy (ITV)

"When I started to realise that this was something more was when I started watching videos of men fainting over my dad. Even now, I’m understanding the full weight of his legacy – as I grow up, as I learn more about his history. His impact is so much deeper than I can fully comprehend."

And GMB viewers were left very impressed by his appearance on the programme and made similar remarks. @Tallandfirey said: "Prince Jackson seems a very level-headed young man. #gmb." @VoteukI tweeted "Great interview with Prince Jackson. His positivity comes across so well.. #GMB." @lesleyannp1 wrote: "Prince Jackson seems like such a nice guy. #GMB."

@theo_samuels commented: "Prince Jackson is a smart dude. His dad would be very proud along with his other siblings. #GMB." @marie59629131 posted: "Prince seems so well rounded#Mj #goat #gmb."
