GMB viewers were left confused today as they found a flaw in Piers rant against scrapping free TV licences.
The BBC announced they were scrapping the free licence for all over 75's, unless they received pension credit.
The decision has been controversial to say the least, with GMB devoting their whole programme to the issue today.
There were several pensioners, veterans and celebrities on the show today, all speaking about what a "disgrace" it was.
As usual Piers was ranting away and just before they went to an ad break he asked why the BBC couldn't cut costs elsewhere.
Piers said: "They've just moved EastEnders t o a new fancy set at a cost of £80million, why should we have to pay for Phil Mitchell to prop the bar up."
But fans noticed a huge flaw in Piers argument - the fact that Phil Mitchell is now sober - and took to social media in their droves to point out the blunder.
One said: "Phil Mitchell doesn’t drink Piers you idiot."
Another said: "Piers, Phil Mitchell doesn’t drink anymore."
And a third said: "Phil Mitchell doesn't drink pints so I've just been informed (laughing emoji)"
