Good Morning Britain viewers took to Twitter this morning to vent their frustration after spotting a huge error.
While talking about the 80th anniversary of comic book character Batman, the caption on screen said: "Batman and Robin first appeared in Marvel Comic books in 1939."
Unfortunately for the show, comic book fans were quick to point out that the caped crusader is in fact a DC character.
Coronation Street star Faye Brookes quits ITV soap after four years
One said: "TV says Marvel... awkward."
Another tweeted: "Batman IS NOT MARVEL."
A third said: "Marvel comic” uhhhh batman’s dc...I think the news must be loosing it or something."
Another added: "ohh no does nobody there graphics or whatever dept do there research before typing "Marvel" really?"
Movie goers will know that this is a cardinal sin of the comic book world, and that Batman is part of the Justice League and not the Avengers, otherwise Bruce Wayne was severely overlooked in Endgame.
While it is true that the multi-millionaire vigilante did make his first appearance in 1939, it was in Action Comics, which would later become DC.
