ITV Good Morning Britain viewers shocked by Kate Garraway's behaviour on live show

Viewers of Good Morning Britain were stunned this morning with one of the presenters' bizarre behaviour.

Kate Garraway was taking up the main hosting spot alongside Ben Shephard when they were talking about a viral video of a horse and a rubber chicken.

Ben jokingly compared her to an 'old nag' and the 52-year-old decided to mimic the horse.

She put the rubber chicken in her mouth and started wobbling her head erratically causing the chicken to squeak and her hair to flail around.

Viewers loved Kate's antics on GMB (ITV)

Ben and newsreader Charlottle Hawkins could not believe her antics and could not stop laughing as Kate continued cavorting her body.

And fans of the ITV breakfast show loved it, many saying it had brightened their week.

Ben could not stop laughing (ITV)

One said: "Kate as always a breath of fresh air - priceless!"

Another said: "100% The best sport on telly, thanks for the fun Friday start Kate !"

A third said: "You're a real sport Kate, hilarious."

And a fourth added: "Kate Garraway....What a fantastic sport she is. Can’t name another presenter who would spoil their hair and act the fool on air."

However some felt vindicated in not usually watching at the end of the week, one said: "And this is why I don't watch GMB on Thursday and Friday."

Ben joked that this may have been a 'career highlight' for the mum-of-two as they continued to laugh at it throughout the show.

*Good Morning Britain is on ITV1, every morning from 6am
