ITV Good Morning Britain viewers call out 'car crash' interview with Wayne Lineker

Good Morning Britain viewers labelled an interview with Wayne Lineker as 'ultimate car crash TV'.

Wayne and Tamer Hassan were on the show today discussing 'dad bods and buff bods'.

A survey found that women perceive men with a 'dad bod' to make better parent material.

It also alludes that guys with 'gym bods' have 'pluralistic mating strategies.'

Asked for his thoughts by Kate Garraway, Wayne appeared not to be prepped in what he was supposed to be speaking about.

He said: "I'm not so sure, to be honest, are we talking about what women want here? Sorry."

Kate said: "I’m slightly worried you don’t know what we’re talking about, it’s making me a bit nervous."

After repeating the question, Wayne said he usually goes to the gym five times a week, but a recent shoulder injury has disrupted his training.

He agreed that men with good bodies may be "tempted" to break a monogamous relationship, however he stated he is a trustworthy man.

Wayne said: "Yeah I don’t really understand that [the survey] to be honest, I don’t think there’s anything different in people’s personalities."

Viewers couldn't help but watch the interview as some heralded it as a 'car crash'.

Andy said: "This Buff bod or Dad bod segment on # GMB is ultimate car crash TV! Who booked Wayne Lineker?!"

Ryan wrote: "Wayne Lineker doesn't know what he's on telly for.... Great start."

Dan tweeted: "Car crash TV", followed by a series of disgruntled emojis.

And Lucinda said: "What is Wayne Lineker ON ABOUT."
