ITV Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid calls out viewer live on air

Regular Good Morning Britain hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid were back on the ITV show following the summer break.

While many avid fans were happy to see them back on screen, some were not so impressed.

And Susanna, 48, was in no mood to listen to criticisms, calling out one of the viewers live on air.

The mum-of-three read out Keith's message, she said: "Keith said, been watching 35 mins now and Susanna getting my back up already , always looks for the drama in every situation ...BORING ....'"

Responding directly to him, she added: "Keith. There is nothing dramatic going on in the world, it is just boring."

She then went on to tweet this reply out on her official account and many people  rushed to her defence.

@Mark17070560, said: "Well, you don't have to look hard ....................the whole world is captivated by this Brexit drama...."

Another, @Kitkat73773585, said: "Simple answer to this then Keith.... Switch the TV off or turn it over. Nobody makes you watch GMB."

Keith then also responded and said: "Oh lots going on for sure . Just want to hear clean facts not drama and your guests getting a chance to answer :)"

Throughout the morning Piers and Susanna had been interviewing a number of guests about the political situation unfolding after Prime Minister Boris Johnson suspended parliament - a move that critics feel is a ploy to bypass the scrutiny of Parliament to push through a no deal Brexit.

Fans of the presenters loved seeing the pair take on the news story, one @GreyhoundGeezer tweeted: "I've missed Piers ranting."

Another, @ChrisPercival_, said: "He’s back, and he’s on [flame emoji]"

A third, @Omi1974, said: "Words I never thought I’d say.. I’m quite glad to see @piersmorgan back, talking some sense at last!!"

*Good Morning Britain is on ITV1 every morning from 6am
