ITV Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid begs 'no, no, no' as old interview clip plays

Susanna Reid begged "no, no, no" to presenter Lorraine Kelly to avoid a clip of a past interview being played again.

The Good Morning Britain presenter and her co-host Piers Morgan had just finished talking to social media sensation Jay Shetty, a former monk who now promotes inspirational messages online, when Piers brought the conversation around to his interview with football legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

Piers interviewed the Portuguese star last year and regularly references it - much to the dismay of Susanna.

Former monk Jay Shetty, a fan of Ronaldo, heaped praise on Piers' interview.

When Susanna and Piers cut to Lorraine Kelly to ask her what she had in store for viewers, Lorraine quipped: "Piers, have you interviewed Cristiano Ronaldo? You never mention it."

Piers said he had and added: "In fact, let's take a look."

But Susanna was having none of it and quickly said: "No, no, no."

She then asked Lorraine to instead detail what was coming up on her show.

Viewers were equally unimpressed with Piers' Ronaldo interview being referenced again and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Russell said: "Imagine the breakdown Piers would have if Ronaldo stopped following him... Trump & Meghan nearly killed him... that would finish him..."

Michael said: "The Piers Morgan show."

Another fan added an eyeroll emoji and said: "Yeah he never ever mentions this."

*Good Morning Britain airs on ITV weekdays from 6am
